Dip dyes, weaving, and collage with paper

Extracting natural dyes takes time, and I often get impatient to see the tone and intensity of color in a dye bath. These small pieces fill time as my dye materials simmer - I dip papers to build up layers of color.

For awhile I made and collected these pieces, but recently I’ve begun weaving and collaging with these remnants of past dye baths.
